Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 11, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all moving, packing, storage, and related services provided by MoveThatStuff (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a small-to-medium sized moving company located at 1566 N 166th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74116. By booking a move, signing an estimate/order for service, paying a deposit, authorizing payment, or allowing our crew to begin work, you (the “Customer,” “Shipper,” or “you”) agree to these Terms, along with the specific Estimate, Order for Service, and Bill of Lading. In the event of any conflict, the written Estimate and Bill of Lading control.

These Terms apply to local, intrastate, and occasional long-distance household goods moves. We are licensed and insured (USDOT #3310246, (918) 292-9350). We reserve the right to update these Terms; the version in effect at the time of booking governs your move.

1. Definitions

  • Estimate/Order for Service: The document outlining services, inventory, pricing (hourly or flat-rate), and scope.
  • Bill of Lading: The contract and receipt for your property.
  • PBO: Packed By Owner (items you pack yourself).
  • Released Value Protection: Basic limited liability included at no extra cost ($0.60 per pound per article).

2. Estimates & Pricing

  • All quotes are based on the inventory, addresses, access details, and services you provide. Quotes are not guaranteed unless marked as a binding flat-rate estimate.
  • Hourly moves: Billed from crew arrival at origin to completion at destination. Minimums apply (typically 2–3 hours labor + travel time). Travel time (warehouse to origin and destination to terminal) is charged separately and is non-negotiable.
  • Flat-rate/binding estimates: Fixed price based on the exact inventory and conditions listed. Any additional items, services, stairs, long carries, or changes will incur extra charges at our standard hourly rate.
  • We use Google Maps/routes software for distance calculations. Actual conditions on move day may affect time and cost.
  • Estimates do not include packing supplies/services unless explicitly purchased and listed.
  • Local and intrastate moves follow Oklahoma regulations; occasional long-distance (interstate) moves follow FMCSA rules.

3. Customer Responsibilities & Prohibited Items

You must:

  • Provide accurate inventory, addresses, access details, floor plans, and any special requirements (stairs, elevators, parking, bulky/fragile items).
  • Ensure clear pathways and safe access for our crew and trucks.
  • Disconnect/reconnect your own appliances (we do not handle gas, electric, or propane hookups).
  • Be present or have an authorized representative available throughout the move.
  • Pack your own non-furniture items (boxes, glass, etc.) unless you purchased our packing services.

Prohibited Items (we will not move): Hazardous materials, flammables, explosives, firearms, perishable foods, live plants/animals, illegal substances, or any items that could damage our equipment or other property. We reserve the right to refuse any item we deem unsafe.

We are not responsible for damage to PBO items, improperly packed goods, or pre-existing damage. You must disclose fragile, valuable, or antique items in advance.

4. Payments, Deposits & Cancellations

  • Deposit: Required to book and lock your date/quote. $50 for local moves or 10% of the estimate for intrastate/long-distance moves. Deposit must be paid within 24 hours of confirmation. Deposits are applied to your final balance.
  • Balance: Due in full before unloading at destination (or per your estimate terms). We accept cash, bank checks, and all major credit/debit cards. No personal/business checks unless pre-approved.
  • Cancellations/Rescheduling: Cancel no later than 72 hours before your move, or deposit forfeited. Rescheduled moves do not lose the deposit.
  • We may cancel/reschedule with notice and will make best efforts to accommodate you at the original rate (no refund owed for company-initiated changes, but we may offer a goodwill credit).
  • Failure to pay may result in collection actions and credit reporting.

5. Additional Charges (Accessorials)

Common extra fees (applied only if needed and communicated):

  • Long carry / stairs / shuttle (beyond standard access).
  • Parking issues or permits you must obtain.
  • Bulky/fragile/special handling (pianos, safes, appliances).
  • Extra items not on original inventory.
  • Waiting time caused by you or building management.
  • Fuel/mileage beyond quoted distance.
  • Overnight or multi-day storage/parking if move exceeds one day.

Crew will notify you on-site; additional charges must be approved and paid before continuing.

6. Liability, Valuation & Damage Protection

  • Basic protection (included): Released Value at $0.60 per pound per article. Example: A 10-lb TV damaged = $6 compensation.
  • Full Value Protection: Available for purchase (recommended for high-value items). Details and rates provided on your estimate.

We are not liable for:

  • Normal wear/tear, scratches, or electrical/mechanical failure.
  • Mechanical derangement (internal malfunction of clocks, appliances, electronics, or other articles without visible external damage).
  • Damage from your packing, your assistance, or acts of God (weather, traffic, etc.).
  • Items left in the truck after you sign off.
  • Damage to furniture or belongings (including scratches, dents, scuffs, finish damage, or rubbing marks) when the customer has expressly requested that we skip standard padding, blankets, stretch wrap, or other protective materials, as documented by the signed Customer-Requested No Padding/Wrapping Waiver.

Limits to property damage are $100 (claims below this threshold will not be honored). You must inspect goods before signing the Bill of Lading/Completion Form. Signing accepts the move as complete with no visible damage/missing items.

7. Claims Procedure

  • Report any damage or loss in writing within 30–60 days of delivery (exact deadline on your Bill of Lading).
  • Include photos, inventory reference, and description.
  • We will investigate and respond per federal/state regulations. Claims are subject to our valuation limits.

8. Storage (If Applicable)

Short- or long-term storage is available. Monthly fees billed on anniversary date via card on file. Minimum volume may apply. All storage subject to separate agreement and liens if unpaid.

9. Loading-Only Services (Customer Trailers, Vehicles, Containers, PODS, etc.)

When MoveThatStuff provides loading-only services for a customer-owned vehicle, trailer, U-Haul, POD, container, or similar transport device, this service is performed entirely at the customer's own risk. We are not responsible for transportation, driving, or unloading.

Our liability ends completely once loading is finished and the trailer/vehicle/container is closed and secured. We are not liable for any damage, loss, shifting, or theft that occurs after the load is secured, including (but not limited to) damage from road conditions, braking, swerving, unloading by others, or any events during transit.

10. SMS / Text Messaging

  • Right to Refuse Service: We may stop work if conditions are unsafe, you are disrespectful to crew, or payment is not made.
  • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma. Venue is Tulsa County.
  • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your negligence, inaccurate information, or failure to follow these Terms.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms + your Estimate/Bill of Lading form the full agreement. No verbal changes are binding.

By proceeding with your move, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
